Having been a working parent, I know of the struggles and tugs that go along with work/family balancing.  I also know of the challenges of finding quality, dependable care for children.  I established Little Sprouts Daycare in the year 2000 to fulfull a personal dream as well as to provide a much needed service to families in the Dedham/Westwood/Norwood area.

Little Sprouts is a full-time, licensed family child care facility serving clients in need of full-time or part-time care.  My goal as a caregiver is to provide a secure, loving and engaging environment for children while they are away from family.  While here, I provide a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that allow the child to grow, learn and explore the world around them through play.  I work to establish a mutual partnership with parents that focuses on the individual needs of their child...social, emotional, physical and intellectual.

Children who come here are immediately drawn to the colorful playroom and work table room that brim with toys, craft supplies, child artwork and books.  The fenced in backyard provides a secure place for running, climbing, biking and playing.  The family room, lovingly known as the "music and napping room" provides ample space for dancing, reading and after lunch is served, resting.  The "cubbies" provide children with their own personal space for belongings from home.

Parents appreciate the communication describing their child's day, the weekly letter outlining the curriculum theme and the parent board, filled with menus, schedule and information about upcoming events at the daycare and in the community.

Activities throughout the week include circle time, music and movement, story time and reading, crafts, outdoor time, dramatic play, discover science time, local field trips and library trips, plus many other curriculum related activities.  Children find time for active and quiet play, self-directed and adult-directed activities.  Our "routine" always includes flexibility to accommodate the dynamic needs of the children as they grow and learn and play together.
